Our Story

For decades, surgeons performing bipolar electrosurgery have faced the same challenge: every time they needed to activate a bipolar forceps, they had to rely on a foot pedal.

At first glance, that may seem like a minor inconvenience. In reality, it creates a series of problems in the operating room. The surgeon must locate the pedal without looking away from the surgical field, coordinate hand and foot movements simultaneously, and maintain awareness of pedal position throughout the procedure. Pedals can shift, become obstructed, or be confused with other equipment. Every unnecessary movement introduces inefficiency and distraction at precisely the moment when focus matters most.

BiPAD was created to solve that problem.

BiPAD is a hand-activated bipolar electrosurgical system that eliminates the need for a foot pedal.
